Note on artwork:
The Capuchin crypt beneath the church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappucini in Rome contains the skeletal remains of 3,700 bodies believed to be Capuchin friars interred by their order. Here, in her very direct, yet descriptive, style, Osborne has created a sense of still reverence as one friar prays silently over the body of his deceased colleague.
