Note on artwork:
The illustration depicts the famous Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge which links the mainland to the tiny island of Carrick-a-rede on the Antrim coast. The surrounding text describes the stormy conditions of the day the authors visited and how they "were satisfied to cross it by deputy". The range of scale between the individual crossing the bridge with that of surrounding towering rocks creates a dramatic image for the reader.
