Biography: George Barret junior 1767-1842 was a landscape painter in oil and watercolour who lived in London and worked mainly in the vicinity. His subjects frequently show seventeenth-century continental influences especially Dutch and Claudean ones. He may have been trained at least in part by his father, George Barret senior, a native of Dublin. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and elsewhere.
